The South Conway County School District Board of Education approved the hiring of Allen Gum to serve as the Morrilton High School Head Baseball Coach for the 2023-2024 school year at a board meeting held on July 11, 2023.
Morrilton High School is excited to welcome Coach Allen Gum and his family: wife Sheena and sons Tyler and Calloway.
Coach Gum has served previously as Head Baseball Coach at Batesville High School, South Arkansas University, and the University of Central Arkansas.
Coach Gum’s overall head baseball coaching career record is 536-336. He was awarded the 2006 and 2009 Gulf South Conference Coach of Year honor.
Coach Gum had a decorated playing career at Crowder Junior College, where he is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame, and Southern Arkansas University, where he received the Charles Berry Hustle Award at the NAIA World Series.
The South Conway County School District Board of Education has approved the purchase of school supplies for students in grades K-12 for the 2023-2024 school year.

The SCCSD is very proud of the 14 MHS students that earned the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy!
The Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy recognizes Arkansas high school students who have studied and attained proficiency in English and one or more other languages.

Kindergarten Graduation is Tuesday, May 23, at 7:00 pm at Devil Dog Arena!
Kindergarten Students who are participating in the service should be at the MHS/MJHS Safe Room by 6:30 pm, so we can get their caps and gowns on. Please don’t wear hair bows or other hair designs that will make the caps not fit!
Entrance to the safe room is behind Devil Dog Arena. There is parking between the Arena and Devil Dog Stadium.
Students are expected to stay for the entire Graduation service when we can safely release them to their parent/guardian from the floor in an orderly fashion!
