Did you know that class starts at 8:00 each day--I mean teachers start to teach at 8:00! Students who are tardy miss valuable instruction, and it is hard on them to walk into class late knowing that they have missed part of their learning. I see many of them coming in anxious and it hurts my heart! Please adjust your morning routines, so your student has plenty of time to get to school, eat a free, hot breakfast, and get the day started on the right foot! I love your children, and I know this will help them be more successful!
Love, Mrs. Wilson

The South Conway County School District is partnering with a team of highly qualified instructors to make an ACT Prep Class available to students in the region to help maximize ACT Test Scores.
The ACT test is a standardized test that measures students’ college readiness skills. Four highly qualified, experienced instructors will share evidenced-based content, tips, and methodologies to enable each student to develop strategies for improved performance, yielding higher test scores. The instructors have over 100 years of practical teaching/tutoring experience within all core tested areas and grade levels. Each point raised can mean thousands of dollars in scholarships based upon the college chosen. Learn many skills such as:
● Content for each core test, with emphasis on highly tested content
● Rules/algorithms needed for each test
● Annotation instruments for successful reading within time constraints
● Score-specific, time-saving strategies
● How to tactically approach each core subject
● Analyzing skills for each core test using authentic ACT questions
● Scaffolding of prior knowledge
● Study plans for independent practice
The class will meet from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for four separate Saturdays. The dates will be:
● December 7, 2024
● January 11, 2025
● January 25, 2025
● February 1, 2025
The location will be at the Morrilton Jr. High. Address is 1400 Poor Farm Rd. Morrilton, AR 72110.
Registration cost is $100 and includes all course materials, except calculators. Each student must bring their own calculator. Payment is due in cash at first class. If interested in additional information, please email the instructors at giftsandact2023@gmail.com
