Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the school year. Half the students who miss 2-4 days in September go on to miss nearly a month of school.

Attention: Beginning Monday, kindergarten and first grade siblings will be picked up and dropped off in the KINDERGARTEN line. 🚙
Please stay in the car during drop off and pick up so the process can be safer and go more efficiently. Our staff will load your precious children; you can pull up and buckle them in before you leave the parking lot! ❤️
Please make sure your name tags are displayed clearly so teachers can see the child’s name(s) so we can get them lined up in order to load quickly.👀

On the first day of school at MPS, we invite k-1 parents to walk children to class! Doors will open at 7:15! Please be early if he/she plans to eat breakfast since it ends at 8 and students must leave to be in class!
PREK drop off/breakfast begins at 8:15. This leaves us very little morning transition time!
In the afternoons, we ask k-1 families to please stay in your car in the pick up lines and do not walk up to get children. Walking up causes unnecessary safety issues that we can avoid! We will load your children and you can pull ahead and buckle them in! Our dismissal process has worked well, and it gets smoother every day! 🍎
